SIBER water blocking tapes have an excellent swelling property.When water enters into a cable protected by water blocking tape,the super absorbent powder within the tape instantly forms a water blocking gel,that prevents further and more costly damage to the cable.

SIBER water blocking tapes are available not only non-conductive but also semi-conductive,PET laminated versions to suit diverse cable applications.

Polypropylene tape in this standard is mainly used in the wrapping of the assembled insulated cable cores.  Plain PP tape has good properties of tensile strength, elongation at break and peeling strength. It also has a good thermal shrinkage at high temperature and stays soft at low temperature.

Water Blocking Tape will absorb the water get into the cable and rapidly condenses into jelly filling to prevent water infiltration.
